Monday, February 26th, 2024, we are IN PERSON at the Harbert Center with Jefferson County Commissioner Joe Knight.  Joe has spoken to us before, and, in Dragnet-Joe Friday fashion, gives us “just the facts.”  Not flashy, but Joe is knowledgeable and, in my opinion, shoots straight.  Come prepared to ask Joe about whatever is on your mind regarding Jefferson County.

Joe has been a practicing attorney for 30 years, and before that was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and serves as General Counsel to the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists.  A native of Miami, Joe has been a Jefferson  County resident for 45 years, and resides in Trussville.  As Jefferson County Commissioner for District 4, he serves as President Pro Tem of the Commission, is Chair of Finance, and chairs the Committees on Budget; General Services; Development Services; Emergency Management; and for  911 Emergency Communications.  He is the Commission liaison to the Board of Registrars, Circuit Clerks, District Attorney, State Courts, and Probate Court.  He was a member of the Executive Committee for the World Games, is Vice Chairman of the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau, and is a member of the Regional Planning Commission.  If you want an update on the County, don’t miss this speaker!
